FDNY "Thank You America" Tour Visits DC
November 14, 2001
New York Fire Dept.
firefighters and their support team arrived at
DC Fire Dept. Engine Station 12 for a lunch break before biking to
Manassas where they'll spend the night. They had started in Baltimore
this morning so they had already ridden 50 miles when they cruised in to
D.C.
The Babes helped welcome
them to D.C. and joined them in
their ride to the Pentagon.
Read more about
their ride across America at www.firehouse.com.
The Washington Post has an article about this day (and mentions
the Babes)

This is one of the two signs the Babes brought.
Both were made by Maria who
created the Babes' logo
and has created all of our wonderful posters over
the
last two years.
Sal, Drew, Dan, and Ralph accept a Babes
on Bikes shirt from Beth who literally donates the shirt
off her back.
Dan thanks the Babes
on Bikes. (Matt needs a carbo-boost!)
